Zakopane “The winter capital of Poland” is considered the most attractive tourist region in our Country. The Tatras, the hills of Podhale as well as the center of the town itself are ideal places for walks or longer or shorter hikes. A walk around the town can be combined with visiting its monuments and other interesting places. The houses here are usually wooden and the atmosphere of the city is unique. Advanced tourists can take trails along the ridges of The Western Tatras or trails in The High Tatras. The trails in The Tatras are marked perfectly with plates and colour stripes. In the most difficult areas there are special buckles, chains and even ladders. In the Tatras you can also do some hiking. The Tatras can be dangerous because they are high mountains, but please don’t be cunfused there is a path for everyone. The Tatra National Park offers some trails available for cyclists. You can ride a bike for example in Dolina Chocholowska which isn’t very demanding. Here are some places that are worth seeing in Zakopane: Krupówki St - The Tatra Museum - Market at the foot of Gubałówka – Gubałówka Lift which offers a breathtaking views - Kasprowy lift which takes you the the heart of zakopane.
