Wooden Raft Rafting on Dunajec River
The Gorge has been popular for more than 150 years, One can cruise on a wooden raft along the river Dunajec located in the region of Pieniny Mountains looking at the closest areas of the Tatra Mountains. The season lasts from 1 April until 31 October every day except for two church holidays: Corpus Christi and the first day of Easter. Rafts set out from the rafting marina at Sromowce Wyzne Katy, where you can find a parking lot, exhibition pavilion of Pieniny National Park, Tourist Information Office, souvenir shops, and restaurant and ticket offices. There is many ways of visiting the region but it goes without saying that cruising is the most pleasurable one because Dunajec is one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. It takes around 2 hours to reach that destination from Krakow and the cruise itself takes 2h 15 min.
